Oximeter And Telemedicine

The pandemic has crippled the already fragile medical infrastructure of India. The medical facilities that existed in the rural areas have been unable to adequately deal with the pandemic. Given the sparsely populated and hilly and forested terrain of Southern Odisha providing medical aid to all has been difficult for the administration alone. We have trained local youth leaders to use oximeters. These youth leaders are conducting regular COVID surveillance in the villages under our guidance. Till now we have tested over __ people from __ villages across __ districts of Odisha. We ensure that timely medical aid can be facilitated to these people at the right time. Due to the absence of adequate medical and educational facilities in these regions there exist many social stigma against hospitals and modern medicines. Our frontline warriors are fighting such misinformation with awareness camps and regular community follow ups. The individuals who show minor symptoms or register low slightly low oxygen levels and are reluctant to visit the hospitals are referred for medical advisory through teleconferencing. Doctors take regular follow up from these patients and recommend medication to them. Till now we have provided medical advisory to __ people from __ villages over teleconferencing.
